Section outline

      • All content and assessment is 100% online - you can complete the MEC from wherever you are in the world as long as you have a computer and internet connection.
      • The course is asynchronous - there is no requirement to be online at a set time.
      • You have an MEC facilitator+assessor assigned to you at the start.  They will work with you over 6-8 weeks to complete the program.
      • If you do not complete the 6 courses within 8 weeks you will need to discuss with the facilitator options for extension or potentially enrolment into the next intake. Fees may apply.
      • MEC is not suitable for those who are new to Moodle. You should be an experienced teacher, and have used Moodle for AT LEAST a year or two, and be familiar with the main elements such as all the Activities, using Groups, Gradebook, Communication tools, Resource types, activity tracking and restrictions, Reports, etc.
      • You MUST complete the MEC pre-placement test that is part of the Are you ready for the MEC? course on Moodle Academy. We will not process your registration without this.
      • It is highly recommended you also complete the free Moodle Academy courses in: Educator pathwayMoodle Teaching Basics - Beginner, and Moodle Teaching Skills - Intermediate before enrolling in MEC.
      • Each MEC module will take approximately 3-4 hours each week for you to complete. This varies based on your previous Moodle knowledge, and teaching experience. You must keep up-to-date week by week to be successful.
