All content and assessment is 100% online - you can complete the MEC from wherever you are in the world as long as you have a computer and internet connection.
The course is asynchronous - there is no requirement to be online at a set time.
You have an MEC facilitator+assessor assigned to you at the start. They will work with you over 6-8 weeks to complete the program.
If you do not complete the 6 courses within 8 weeks you will need to discuss with the facilitator options for extension or potentially enrolment into the next intake. Fees may apply.
MEC is not suitable for those who are new to Moodle. You should be an experienced teacher, and have used Moodle for AT LEAST a year or two, and be familiar with the main elements such as all the Activities, using Groups, Gradebook, Communication tools, Resource types, activity tracking and restrictions, Reports, etc.
Each MEC module will take approximately 3-4 hours each week for you to complete. This varies based on your previous Moodle knowledge, and teaching experience. You must keep up-to-date week by week to be successful.
